About this calculator

The TikTok Shop earnings calculator is a free, simple tool that helps sellers work out what they actually earn on a sale after the costs that eat into the headline price — VAT, marketplace commission, and the cost of the product itself.

What it does

Enter your procurement cost and a target profit margin, and the calculator suggests the sales price you would need to set. It then breaks that price down into its parts so you can see exactly where the money goes:

• The VAT collected on the sale, which is passed on to the tax authority.
• The commission deducted by the marketplace.
• The cost of buying the product from your supplier.
• What is left over as your profit.

Why it exists

It is easy to set a price that looks profitable but quietly loses money once VAT and commission are taken out. A price that is only a little above cost can leave you with nothing, or even a loss, because a large share of the sticker price is never yours to keep. This tool makes that visible before you commit to a price.
